What is Zunko?
Zunko is a trading app that will allow Mauritians and Africans at large to trade U.S. stocks and crypto easily, instantly, and affordably.
How to download the app?
You can download the app on Play Store, App Store, and App Gallery. You can join the waitlist to get early access to the live app when it launches towards the end of 2023, along with some early-bird perks.
How to buy stocks and crypto on Zunko?
Users can simply log into the app, search for the stocks and crypto they are interested in, choose the number of shares or tokens they wish to buy (fractional shares are available), and place their order. The order is processed instantly. There is no waiting or approval time. The same applies to the selling of shares.
How much profit will I make?
This will depend on the investments you have made. The profit/loss depends on what you decide to invest in, and on how long you hold your investment. Some people like to buy and sell on the same day, while others prefer to hold their investment for longer periods (months/years).
Can I pay in rupees?
Yes, you can deposit your funds in either rupees or dollars. For deposits in rupees, the rupees will then be converted to dollars at a specified rate and credited to your Zunko trading account. Your dollars are then converted back to rupees when you withdraw your funds.
How much does Zunko charge in trading fees?
Right now, we don’t charge any fees as we are only offering the simulator version of the app. When we go live, we will charge as low as 0.5% per trade.
Will I get the profit on the same day?
'Yes. As soon as you sell the stocks or cryptocurrencies that you own, if you made a profit, you will be able to withdraw that income on the same day.'
How is the trading fee so low?
'Our business is built in a way that allows it to have lower overheads and higher scalability than traditional brokerages. That makes it possible for us to charge you the lowest fees possible.'
How is Zunko different from other brokers?
We are different from other brokers in Mauritius because we allow you to trade directly, instantly, and affordably through our user-friendly mobile app. Also, unlike most brokers, we do not plan on giving any financial advice. Instead, we empower our users to take control of their own investments.
Is Zunko legal & safe?
100%. Zunko is currently a simulated trading app, which means it’s only allowing users to practise investing in real stocks (in the U.S. stock market) with fake money. There are absolutely no fees and no risks involved at this point. Later on, the app will also allow users to make cryptocurrency investments.
Is Zunko licensed by the FSC?
We have started the process to get affiliated with a licensed broker in Mauritius. Once the process is complete, we will be able to launch the live app towards the end of 2023. We will also be partnering with licensed providers to get access to the U.S. stock market and cryptocurrencies.
Does Zunko provide courses/financial coaching?
Through the Zunko Academy in the blog section of our website, you can start learning about trading and investing. We also offer many tips, tricks, and interesting news on our social media. In the future, we will improve the Zunko Academy to make it your primary learning partner. It will be part of the Zunko Hub and will include videos, quizzes, workshops, and webinars.
