Welcome to the ultimate app tour! Whether you're an experienced or newbie trader, this article serves as your trusty guide, unveiling the hidden gems and features that lie within the Zunko app. Join us as we explore every nook and cranny, peeling back the layers to reveal the intricacies and functionalities that make this app a game-changer.
We'll walk you through the sign-up process, how to place a trade, every single page of the app, and its panoply of functionalities. Now, ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts, and here we go!
How to Sign Up?
The first step is to input your email address [1] and tick the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and ‘Privacy Policy’ boxes [2]. You then have to enter your country of residence, your username, and password [3].
A pop-up will then appear, requesting you to verify your email address. After this, you have to fill in all the details in the “Enter Your Details” section [4]. If you haven’t verified your email address after inputting your details, the pop-up requesting you to verify your email address will appear again. To proceed with the sign-up process, you have to verify your email address. To do so, you login to your email and verify from your laptop/PC. You can also simply leave the Zunko app to login to your email on your mobile and verify before coming back to the Zunko app. Do not worry, you won’t lose any of your progress in the process.
The next step is to choose an avatar to accompany you on your trading journey [5]. The avatars all have distinct personalities. Make sure you choose the one that suits you best if you are choosing one. You can also skip the selection by clicking on “Skip Selection” if you do not want to choose an avatar. Next, you will be asked to choose 3 stocks to add to your watchlist before landing on the homepage [6]. You can easily remove these selected stocks from your watchlist later on if you do not want to keep track of them anymore.
How to Place a Trade in 15 Seconds?
After going through the sign-up process, your avatar (if you have chosen one) will take you on an app tour. Please don’t skip the process as this will help you to understand how to navigate the app, and most importantly how to place a trade on the app. But if you skipped it by accident, you can always repeat the tutorial later on. More information on how to repeat it will be available further down in the article.
Click on a company to view more details about it, and buy or sell its shares . Click on the “Trade” button [7], input the number of shares that you want to buy or sell [8], and click on the “Review” button [9]. Hold onto the ”Hold to Submit” [10] button to complete the transaction until it takes you to another screen and get your receipt as soon as the transaction is executed [11]. Fractional shares can also be bought.
Find Stocks and News
When you click on the search icon, there’s a “Stocks” section [12] where you can search for specific stocks that you want to trade. There is also a “News” section [13] at the top right where you can read about finance/trading-related stuff.
While we provide some research tools on the platform, users must also do their own research before trading.
The Homepage (Graph Icon)
On the homepage [14], you have your total balance plus an indication of whether your portfolio is up or down for specific time frames [15]. You also have a graph that indicates your total portfolio performance. Just below the graph, you’ll see “Your Stocks” [16]. If you click on any stock, you’ll go to “Details” [17], which gives you detailed information about how that stock is doing, along with some more statistical data about the stock and your transaction history for that stock.
If you click on the “Overview” [18] button beside the “Details” button, you’ll get an “About” on the company as well as recent news about the company.
As explained during the tutorial, there’s a “Trade” [19] button on this page. When you click on it, it gives you the option to buy more or sell that stock. If you clicked on a stock that you do not own, you will not have the option to sell, you will only be able to buy.
On the homepage, you also have the “Your Watchlist” section. When you click on the right pointing arrow next to it, it will send you to a page where you can see all the stocks in your watchlist [20]. For both stocks that are under “Your Watchlist” and “Your Stocks” sections, you can use the pinning feature [21] to keep an eye on them directly from the homepage. Only the stocks you pin will appear on your home page.
The Profile Icon
When you click on the profile icon [22], there is a donut chart showing your portfolio — how much cash you have and the industries of the stocks that you have invested in. This allows you to see your portfolio diversity easily. Below it, you’ll see a list of options [23].
In the “My Profile” section, you’ll find all your personal details.
In the “Account Settings” section, if you have an avatar, you can change your avatar or remove it by clicking on “Change Avatar” or you can choose one if you do not have one. You can also replay the tutorial by clicking on “Repeat Tutorial,” and delete your account by clicking on “Delete Your Account.” Deleting your account will erase all your data and will remove you from any competitions you are currently in, so only do this if you are sure that you want to delete your account and want us to completely erase your data. You can also turn on/off the notifications for “Market Open and Close” and for “Promotional” messages from us.
In the “Transactions History” section, you can see all the trades you have placed.
In the “Hidden Features” section, you have quick tips to help you make the most of the app like the pinning feature and some other features that will make using the platform much easier.
Another section is “Help and Support.” There, you have the FAQs and the information to contact us.
You’ll also find your waitlist rank at the end of the page, along with your unique referral link that you can use to refer the app to your friends and climb up the list. The higher you are on the list, the faster you can access the live app when it launches by the end of 2023. You will also receive unique perks based on your position on the waitlist when we launch the live trading version of the app (the higher you are on the waitlist, the more perks you will receive.)
Competition
Click on the medal icon [24] to experience our competition feature. Click on a competition to get all of its details and join. Our team always has some curated competitions running so that you can practise your trading skills [25]. All the competitions that you have joined are under the “My Competitions” [26] section. Click on them to know your rank on the respective leaderboards [27].
Trading in a competition is the same process as regular trading. But instead of trading with your primary portfolio, you should trade with your competition portfolio. The competition portfolios will only appear when the competitions start. You can’t place a trade in a competition before it officially starts. Unlike with the primary portfolio, you might not be able to trade with your competition portfolio when the market is closed. This will depend on the characteristics chosen by the competition organiser. Some competitions will allow you to trade when the market is closed, while others might not.
While you can choose whether you want to trade with your primary or competition portfolio exclusively, you will also be able to place trades across all your portfolios at once if you want to. You just have to select all of them before placing the trade.
More on the competition feature can be found in this article
Feedback
A feedback icon [28] is always present on all pages, as we welcome suggestions from users so we can improve the app.
So, please give us as much of your honest thoughts as possible while you navigate the app. We hope this was helpful. Until next time friends, stay tuned!
